How to reduce the fuel consumption of gas boilers? For gas-fired boilers, in order to save fuel and improve the thermal efficiency of the boiler, we must start from the following aspects.

1. Adopt flue gas waste heat recovery technology to reduce exhaust loss.
The main factor affecting the heat loss of exhaust gas is the exhaust gas temperature. The higher the exhaust gas temperature, the greater the exhaust heat loss.
At present, most newly-built boilers are equipped with flue gas waste heat recovery devices when they leave the factory, such as economizers, semi-condensing or fully condensing flue gas waste heat recovery devices, these measures can effectively reduce the exhaust gas temperature and improve the thermal efficiency of the boiler.

2. The range value fluctuation of excess air coefficient.
When the excess air coefficient is too high, it is equivalent to inhaling excess cold air into the furnace. This part of excess cold air does not participate in combustion, but is discharged in vain after being heated, and the heat loss of exhaust smoke increases.
If the cold air entering the furnace continues to increase beyond a certain limit, the temperature of the furnace will decrease, which will also increase the loss of incomplete combustion.
When the excess air ratio is too low, the fuel cannot be completely combusted due to insufficient oxygen, resulting in increased incomplete combustion losses. However, long-term serious incomplete combustion will lead to carbon in the heating area of the boiler, which will affect the heat exchange efficiency and continue to increase the exhaust smoke loss.
Therefore, it is another key point to improve the thermal efficiency of boilers to reasonably control the air-fuel ratio and minimize the exhaust heat loss and incomplete combustion loss.

3. Strictly control boiler water quality and scientifically control scale.
Boiler feed water will contain various impurities and scaling substances such as calcium and magnesium, and boiler scaling will inevitably occur. The thermal conductivity of scale is very low, so once the heating surface is scaled, due to the increase of thermal resistance, the boiler exhaust gas temperature will rise, and the heat loss of the exhaust gas will increase.
The test data shows that if there is 1 mm of scale on the heating surface of the boiler, the exhaust heat loss will increase by about 2-4%. The thicker the scaling on the heating surface of the boiler and the greater the thermal resistance, the more the thermal efficiency of the boiler will drop. Boiler fouling not only reduces the thermal efficiency of the boiler, but also increases the wall temperature of the boiler heating surface, causing damage to the heating surface, and even causing boiler explosion accidents.
Therefore, adopting high-quality soft water treatment devices, operating the boiler feed water softening treatment device strictly according to the process, and controlling the boiler feed water quality can delay the formation of scale.
